It's no coincidence that at Eurogamer all I could see was Xbox 360 controllers on pcs and especially on shooters. Having said that I don't know if the DS3 works on pc.

Having used both systems I think they are very similar at this stage except for the cameras where one is clearly more tech advanced. Games on both look good but nothing stellar. The 'Gears' moment for both machines will be a while down the line.
Which ever you buy I think it will be down to the exclusives as multis like CoD, FIFA and BF4 look great and will prob be same on both. Forza and RYSE impressed me the most. Dead Rising 3 was surprisingly impressive.

Reality is Xbox 360 owners know that the dash updates are a good thing, that MS are always looking to improve it and the adverts aren't everywhere. There is max one tile per page and you do not ever have to view them.

The guy on the Sony stand at Eurogamer kept saying 'it's fun to Play Station' as people got to the front of the queue.
I wanted to hit him. I just told him it was fun to queue for an hour to then be told I could only play 2 games because of the stupid ticket system that Sony were using.
Compared to what I'm used to with BF3 on 360 I thought the BF4 demo at Eurogamer was fantastic. It Was fast, smooth and sounded great. I'm sure the res was much higher than 720p or the X1 has a cracking scaler.Bear in mind we stood right in front of a large tv and it looked fine close up so at normal living room distance no worries.
It felt like playing a pc game in terms of the crispness of the image as did CoD.

Sony were allowed to create a show within a show and the queuing system to get into their area was ridiculous. I went on Sunday and you had to queue for an hour only to then be told near the front of the queue that you could only play 2 games using a ticket they gave you. One ticket had mostly Indy games and the other had the first party. You couldn't for example play Drive Club AND Killzone in one visit. You would need to leave the Sony area and then come in again with potentially anothe...
Beyond the obvious knee jerk reaction you would get from gamers this does raise an interesting scenario for the future. Games are getting more real by the day. Eventually you might have difficulty separating real from fantasy. Should that day come I think some real world boundaries of behavior and decency would be needed although obviously not yet Red Cross!

Ah yes the FIFA PS4 units were in the base with the glass front - you could see the controller wire plugged in and coming out. I must have confused with something else. The Xbox FIFA was on X1s and 360s.
Frankly I was amazed at how MS got so many XB1s available for the show given all the negativity you read on this site about production etc. Those machines were getting a hell of a workout for 4 days straight. The Kinect was surprisingly accurate as well...

I'm sorry but those figures are not fact. Complete hardware and clocks information for both machines are not 100% known so that performance gap cannot be verified. That is not a lie and I don't appreciate being called a lier.
My views on the xb1s capabilities are based on having used both consoles myself yesterday at Eurogamer. None of the PS4 launch games showed any kind of evidence of the performance gap you claimed. On the contrary the performance of the XB1 titles...
I played this today at eurogamer and I can tell you now technically this game is very impressive. If it is 900p you wouldn't know because it looks just as good as any 1080p I've seen and the lighting, AA and effects were of a really high standard. No frame rate drops or screen tearing even with lots of enemies. My friend and I played the coop demo in the gladiator area. Got a few combo executions :) All live xb1 consoles no bs. This is alpha as well can only get better but very polish...
Played it at eurogamer today. They give you about 10 mins on it. Game was running on real xb1s in front of me. I'm not much into fighters but it was fun,fast and frenetic. We were using an arcade stick which had 8 buttons. The 4 main colour buttons and then duplicated. If you like fighters you will love this I think.
This was running on pc dev kits with ps4 controllers as was drive club. The game looked a half decent arcade game and better than drive club in my view.

I've played BF4 at Eurogamer today and it looked and ran fantastic. There were 64 xb1s running it in 2x 32 player matches of obliteration and conquest.
Xb1 is just a capable. There is no conspiracy to hold ps4 back. What utter rubbish.
Battlefield on xb1 is easily equal to mid/high pc settings and resolution looked a lot higher than 720p.
Queue 40 mins to get into ps4 area and then they only let you play two games with a voucher. Then queue again to get into over 18s part if the ps4 bit then queue again just to get on the 12 killzone machines.
A total joke Sony.
